July 2008
July began with The
London UK Film Focus
screening the film on the big screen at the BFI cinema in London. It
looked wonderful, attracted lots of international attention and
compliments from some pretty hardened film sales agents. The film has
also been selling well in Australia this month, we didn't know of any
press or reviews down there, so if you do, please let us know.
June 2008
The Angling
Times piece came
out on June the 10th, a great double page spread, all about the film
and the history of Hardy's, great reading. German fly-fishing magazine FliegenFischen
have also published a review, the film "knocked them of their feet"
they said, we're assured it's a compliment, meaning it took their
breath away!

April 11th 2008
We are delighted to announce that The
Lost World of Mr Hardy
has been selected as one of only 12 'breakthrough' films for The London
UK Film Focus in June. This event is designed to enhance the promotion
and export of the best of British Films for 2008 and is funded
by
the UK Film Council and Film London. For our modest film it's a
terrific endorsement and will bring the film to the attention of the
global film industry. It will also be the film's first official outing
to the big screen.
"Bravo! Encore!"
I have just watched The Lost World of Mr Hardy. Wonderful! I feel like I’ve just been to the cinema and am still totally captured by the experience. What keeps coming to my mind is how this is such a superb, magnificent story, capturing our changing world over the years up until our modern day so very well. How different is the language of today’s contemporary manager! Equally interesting for non-anglers, the film manages to show the real value of craftsmen and of the handmade. Touching interviews. Humour and wisdom. Once again: wonderful!“
